London & Cambridge Historic Interior Photographer

I am an expert in photographing Historic Interiors. With years of experience working for the Historic Royal Palaces and National Trust.

I have photographed Royal palaces, including Hampton Court Palace, Kew Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace & The Tower of London.

For the National Trust I have photographed Winston Churchill’s House, Chartwell in Kent, Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire and Agatha Christie’s House, Greenway In Devon.

I have also photographed the Shakespeare’s Globe with the new Sam Wannamaker Playhouse in London and the De Gournay Showroom in Chelsea with handpainted Chinese Wallpaper.

All of these interiors require very high standards regarding the equipment I use. Only medium format is suitable for it’s composition control, dynamic range and accurate colours. This is a considerable step up from 35mm photography.

When photographing in such sensitive interiors I use techniques in conservation to prevent myself from damaging surfaces, floors and walls with my equipment. Everything is on soft wheels to avoid damage.

I enjoy sometimes taking portaits of key people working in unique jobs in these environments. This work is closely linked to my corporate photography where I mix architectural, interiors and portrait photography on location.
